It starts off melodic and perfect then turns more rock but not too much. “From the newer album “Wasting Light”, “Walk” is yet another meaningful song with not too much hardcore to cover up the meaning. “Monkey Wrench is far the best song of the Foo Fighters and this should be within the Top 3! When somebody says Foo Fighters, the first thing that comes to mind is “Hey, they we’re the guys who sang Monkey Wrench” SO GUYS LISTEN TO THIS SONG first before listening to Everlong and The Pretender! It perfectly merges the quiet verse into loud chorus formula that they do so well, the riff is catchy, and it’s explosive and begging to be chanted by tens-of-thousand strong crowds! They are too repetitive and poorly written. “All my life and times like these are Grohl’s worst songs. I am so glad they were my first album!”ġ3. The lyrics speak to me more then any other song they have, hell maybe, it speaks to me more than any song I’ve heard. At the time I was about 12, so to successfully buy my first CD by myself was special… Little did I know that they were to become my favorite band of all time and this song to stay with me until even today. “Their Greatest Hits album was the first I bought.
FOO FIGHTER LONG ROAD TO RUIN FULL
“This song is just perfect, it has a very powerful meaning, “I just kinda died for you, you just kinda stared at me, we will always have the chance, We can do this one more time” it is so perfect… The guitar is so calm and relaxing and in the chorus is full of power but is still calm… By far my favourite song, and I have heard all of their albums including Wasting Light… This song is epic” Aurora (There Is Nothing Left to Lose, 1999) Underneath this tree I imagine me and my sweetheart parking our car and making love between the wheat ears with the stars looking down on us.”ġ5. A single giant willow tree growing in one of the fields breaks the uniformity of the land. Wide and endless fields stretch for miles on it’s right and left-hand side. There is no civilisation around so the only light comes from millions of sparkling stars and a couple of old-fashioned street lights lining the road. I always picture a beautiful scenery: an actual paved road, old and dusty, above it the night sky. Listening to it makes me feel like being someplace else, someplace magical. The pause before “EASY FOR YOU TO SAY” sends chills down my spine every listen of this masterpiece. Yet in These Days, his emotion translates into the music more than in any other song of theirs. “Dave Grohl is one of the most genuine musicians ever, and he is so transparent in every one of the Foo’s songs.
